WOW, am I behind. Since I've blogged we have had finals, Christmas break, and began a new semester.
We are five weeks into Spring semester and I'm just now telling you what's been going on. We are busy taking care of the Technology needs of students and faculty in the TLC as usual. We average seeing over 1,000 students a month and we love staying busy.
Three of our tutors will graduate this semester so if you are good with the Microsoft office suite and plan to be a student in the summer come by and see me. We will have two opening for students that qualify for a PELL grant. Tutors work 15 hours a week and we work around your class schedule. You would work the same schedule the entire semester. Someone has to close the lab nightly at 7:00 PM so plan to work possibly two nights a week.
This week we participated in the Childhood Development Department's fund raiser by donating a basket full of technology. The basket is valued at $165 and at 7:00 PM tonight we will find out who the lucky bidder is. We have all helped by placing our bids on other baskets as well. It's for a worthy cause; the DeKalb County Children's Advoacy Center.
If you need help come by the TLC in business education room 107 and Ben, Daniel, Marlene, Tomas, or I will be glad to assist you.
